Calling all Super Technicians! Have you participated in or led an extraordinary project; utilized best practice strategies to protect patients; taken the initiative with an idea to improve services for patients. We are pleased to announce that PTSBC will be hosting, a poster presentation session at the Annual Pharmacy Technician Conference. This contest provides an informal setting for you and your colleagues to share ideas, projects, best practice, and the impact they have on the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients. All pharmacy personnel are invited and encouraged to participate. Submission deadline is 11:59pm, September 20th. PTSBC Member of the Year Award

Do you know a member who is making a difference in pharmacy practice, patient care or advocacy for Pharmacy Technicians? Maybe that Technician, is you? Submit an entry for yourself, Submit an entry for someone else.  Candidates must be an active PTSBC member.

PTSBC would like to recognize a member for their commitment to professionalism through excellence in pharmacy practice.  Nominate a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant who has taken pharmacy professionalism to the next level.
 
Professionalism can be displayed in any number of ways, and would include anything that contributes to enhancing the role of pharmacy technicians. Whether it is someone who inspires peers to raise standards and advance pharmacy technician practice, participates in the creation of educational opportunities and professional development that promote pharmacy technical practice, demonstrates leadership and excellence in work performance, promotes health and wellness in their community, utilizes pharmacy services to improve the health of patients, solves problems and creates new practice opportunities, or even someone who is passionate about the advancement of pharmacy technical practice, with active involvement in professional organizations that advances initiatives and advocates on behalf of the profession.
 
The PTSBC Director will announce the PTSBC Pharmacy Technician/Assistant Member of the Year.  The honoree will receive:

• a $300 honorarium
• registration and accommodations to attend the next PTSBC Pharmacy Technician conference in October of the upcoming year.

This award would normally be presented at the Annual PTSBC Conference, however due the pandemic, the Director will send out a communication after our annual event.
