Position Title Registrar
Position Job Description The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba is seeking an innovative and visionary leader that cares deeply about the health and well-being of the public and promotes safe, patient-centered best practices. This individual will further the role of the College as a health system leader devoted to accountability, integrity, and transparency.
The College regulates the practice of pharmacy as a delegated authority under the Pharmaceutical Act of Manitoba. According to its legislated mandate, the College carries out its activities and regulates the profession in a manner that serves and protects the public interest. The Registrar will ensure College activities promote safe, ethical provision of patient care.
As Registrar, you will be reporting to Council, building strong relationships with governments and a broad range of system stakeholders and partners, ensuring operational and performance excellence across the College.
As the ideal candidate you will be required to carry out the duties legislated by the Pharmaceutical Act, its regulations, and by-laws. You will advance the College mandate and mission, develop, and implement a compelling vision and strategy, nurturing an inclusive and empowering team culture. In addition, you will maintain and evaluate registration and licensing standards in accordance with all applicable legislation.
You must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant industry in a progressive senior leadership position. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field of study, such as Health Care Administration and Management, Business, Medicine, Economics, or Information Technology and will be currently licensed to practice as a pharmacist in a Canadian jurisdiction. You will have experience with organizational finance and budget management. Lastly, the new Registrar will have an open, inclusive, collaborative, and result-oriented leadership style, powerful communication skills, media savvy, and the ability to forge strong relationships across stakeholders.
