Bal Dhillon brings over 26 years of experience in the pharmacy profession, with a diverse background spanning both hospital and community pharmacy settings. She is recognized for her strong leadership, management, and strategic planning capabilities. Bal currently serves as a Consultant and Program Facilitator, specializing in the design, development, and delivery of pharmaceutical compounding education related to USP <797> and USP <795> standards for healthcare professionals. A dedicated advocate for the advancement of pharmacy technicians, Bal played a pivotal role in the formation of the Pharmacy Technician Society of British Columbia (PTSBC) in 2011. Prior to that, she served as President of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians – BC Chapter from 2005 to 2010. She remains actively involved in initiatives that promote professional development and continuing education for pharmacy personnel across British Columbia. Bal holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University, an Associate Degree from Douglas College, a Provincial Instructor Diploma from the Province of British Columbia, and several certifications in leadership development. She is also a charter member of PTSBC and has been an integral part of the Society since its inception.
Yonette has spent nearly 25 years in pharmacy related roles and has been an active member in the pharmacy technician community for the last 15 years. She first completed her pharmacy technician education at Red Deer College in Alberta, and later went on to finish a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then returned to the pharmacy profession, becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) in the United States and with PTCB-Alberta. In 2011, She became one of the first registered Pharmacy Technicians with the College of Pharmacists of BC. Yonette actively supports and promotes the profession by volunteering as a committee member on the College of Pharmacists Practice Review Committee and as a committee member on the Program Advisory Committee for the Pharmacy Technician program at Vancouver Community College. She is currently employed by the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services and works at St. Paul’s Hospital as the Pharmacy Operations Support Coordinator. Yonette is a charter member of the PTSBC and has been with the Society since inception in 2011.
Danka has been working in the pharmacy field since 2000, beginning her career at London Drugs as a pharmacy assistant. After completing the technician program at VCC in 2005, Danka shifted to working in the hospital pharmacy sector. She became a regulated pharmacy technician in 2012, and continued to work at St. Paul’s Hospital for over a decade in a supervisory position, and in 2023, Danka took on a regional project coordinator role. In 2025, her career further advanced as she starts her new position in leadership as manager at the Vancouver Pharmacy Production Centre. Danka joined the PTSBC in 2013 and currently serves as Director of Communications. She looks forward to the PTSBC conference every year and enjoys doing what she can to promote Pharmacy Technicians!
Vanessa has nearly 20 years experience in both community drug stores and hospital pharmacy settings. She is currently working for Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services at Langley Memorial Hospital. Passionate about advancing the pharmacy technician profession, she actively contributes through volunteering on committees for the College of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC), as well as Canadian Society of Healthcare-Systems Pharmacy (CSHP) and PTSBC.
Nelson has more than 18 years of experience in the pharmacy profession, with a main focus on community pharmacy. Starting out as a pharmacy assistant at three Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Coquitlam, he became a licensed pharmacy technician in 2015, completing the pharmacy technician bridging program at UBC. In 2014, Nelson joined the BC Pharmacy Association, the advocacy body for community pharmacists in the province, where he continues to work today as Coordinator of Pharmacy Practice Support. His roles at the Association involve facilitating the pharmacist administration of injections program, overseeing CCCEP program accreditation, and addressing member queries on public and private payer policies, audits, and regulatory compliance. Curious about the parallel advocacy body for pharmacy technicians and wanting to give back to the profession, Nelson joined the PTSBC in 2017, where he serves as Communications Coordinator.
Atamjit is part of the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services Quality Assurance Team in a non-traditional pharmacy technician role. She participates in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality, safety and innovative initiatives related to sterile compounding in Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services. She is passionate about changing status quo and continue to be involved in promoting professional growth for my fellow pharmacy technicians through education and networking opportunities. She has diverse experience working in a variety of roles in different pharmacy settings over the past 25 years including hospital and community practice. She is also an active volunteer with various College of Pharmacists of BC committees in the past decade. Atamjit joined the PTSBC in 2022.
Cloe Cullen brings over 15 years of experience in hospital, long-term care and community pharmacy settings. She has contributed to the profession as an instructor for accredited pharmacy technician programs and as a speaker at numerous conferences, including events hosted by Interior Health, the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO), the Canadian Society for Healthcare-Systems Pharmacy (CSHP), and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Her presentations have focused on the evolving role of pharmacy technicians in advanced clinical adjacent roles, highlighting opportunities to expand scope and improve patient care. Cloe holds an Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from BCIT and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Saskatchewan. She is committed to advancing pharmacy practice and empowering future professionals through education, leadership, and collaboration. Cloe joined the PTSBC in 2021 where she serves as the Social Media Coordinator, CSHP BC Branch Representative, and on the Membership Committee.
Marsha Fajardo has been a dedicated pharmacy professional since 1995. She began her career as a pharmacy assistant in Winnipeg before completing the Pharmacy Technician program at Vancouver Community College in 1999. That same year, she joined Shoppers Drug Mart and soon after achieved her goal of working in hospital pharmacy at Burnaby Hospital, where she spent over 20 years. During her tenure, Marsha gained broad expertise in areas such as chemotherapy preparation, oncology support, staff training, and leadership as interim technician supervisor. As a Clinical Pharmacy Support Technician (CPST), she contributed to published research and helped expand the CPST role into patient-facing care, shaping its evolution within the profession. Following Burnaby Hospital, Marsha served as Technician Supervisor at Langley Memorial Hospital before moving into her current role at Ridge Meadows Hospital. Since 2020, she has also worked casually in community pharmacy. Actively involved in advancing the profession, Marsha serves on VCC’s Pharmacy Technician Program Advisory Committee and has contributed to the Pharmacy Technician Society of BC.
Annie has been working in the pharmacy profession since 2012, starting as a pharmacy assistant and then eventually becoming a registered pharmacy technician in 2015. She has worked in community, long term care, central fill and hospital pharmacy settings and is currently the supervisor at St. Paul's Crosstown Pharmacy which serves clients with opioid use disorder. She is passionate about providing non-judgmental, inclusive and equitable pharmacy care, especially to those struggling with substance dependence and other marginalized groups. She joined the PTSBC in 2025 to help advance and advocate for pharmacy technicians in the field of pharmacy.
Felicia is a newly licensed pharmacy technician as of March 2024. She graduated from VCC’s pharmacy technician program in 2023 after four years of community pharmacy experience. She currently works at Vancouver General Hospital full-time as part of the rotation, and joined the PTSBC in 2022.
Ray worked as a pharmacy assistant in a chain drug store for four years while completing the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences undergraduate program. Following graduation, he worked in the same community pharmacy where he was an assistant until he completed a hospital pharmacy residency program based out of St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC. With close to 3 decades of practice as a pharmacist in several different hospitals, Ray has been active in the field of pharmacy, participating in various roles and committees within the College of Pharmacists of BC, the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, and Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services. Some examples of Ray’s involvement includes being a past board member for six years at PEBC on the national level, previously serving as the Chief Examiner of PEBC for four years in Vancouver at the local level, formerly chairing the CPBC Registration Committee for several terms, and currently working as a Pharmacy Manager within Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services. When not thinking about the field of pharmacy, Ray can be found cycling, fishing, or spending time with his spouse and two daughters. Ray has been emceeing the PTSBC conference since 2022.
