Position Summary:

We are searching for a Registered Pharmacy Technician. Duties are inclusive but not limited to the following:

  • Strictly follow pharmacy procedures and adhere to policies.
  • Communicate with the public: Candidate must have excellent people and communication skills including proficiency in spoken English language.  You must be clearly understood to ensure safe and accurate communication with patients, colleagues and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Greet and assist customers
  • Receive and process prescriptions in person and over the phone: Gather information, ensure completeness of information, enter information into computer.
  • Maintain patient and drug information files
  • Prepare prescription labels, affix to containers including auxiliary labels
  • Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix and reconstitute medications
  • Price stock and maintain inventory
  • Prepare receipts, invoices, and letters
  • Ensure proper billing of prescriptions
  • Maintain cleanliness of dispensary
  • Handle cash and debit transactions
  • RPT candidates are expected to practice according to standards outlined and required by the     College of Pharmacists of BC in addition to pharmacy policies and procedures

Current Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Weekends, Holidays and Stats
