Joe’s Pharmacy (Campbell River Health & Drug Store) is a very busy, independent specialty pharmacy in Campbell River. Some services include basic prescriptions, compounding, long term care support, blister packing and compression garment fitting. Opportunity to utilize your full scope of practice. Full time Registered Pharmacy Technician position. Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm. No evenings, weekends or statutory holidays. Minimum of 2 pharmacists on shift at all times.
Daily Tasks
- Assist pharmacist in prescription preparation
- Accurate final check of prescriptions, compounds and blister packs
- Automation programming and filling (Parata & PACMED)
- Receiving verbal prescriptions from physician, within scope
- Maintaining, ordering and receiving dispensary drug inventory
- Customer service and retail sales
Beneficial Skills
- Compounding experience
- OAT training
- Injection certification
- Kroll proficiency
