Position Job Description We are seeking our very first Regulated Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations and ideally be available two days per week every Wednesday and Thursday (work hours can be flexible each day).
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications including OAT
- Performing all the technical functions of dispensing non-OAT prescriptions (with a focus on blister packing) and ensuring accuracy while performing the final check
- Assisting pharmacists with other duties as appropriate upon request
The ideal candidate will encompass the following:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Be highly productive and willing to be a team player
- Adaptive to change as our operation grows and evolves
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
The following would be assets:
- Completion of OAT training
- Prior pharmacy experience or familiarity with WinRx
- Injection certification
