Advantages
  • This career opportunity is full-time (40-hour schedule) with 8-hour shifts that range between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday only. Your schedule will be provided in advance. We are interested in speaking with candidates who have open availability. There is no on-call required of this RPhT.

This is a 12-month contract role but benefits will be provided for the term of the contract and there is potential for permanent hire.
  • Our client is not in a position to support SPT hours at this time. This is a direct-hire, permanent career opportunity, meaning the successful candidate will be on our client's payroll from day one. The role is paid on a salaried basis (overtime is not expected, however, if there is OT requested, it will be paid as per Employment Standards or time-off will be given in lieu if mutually agreed upon).

Responsibilities

As a Technician in this non-retail pharmacy setting, you will work with other team members to process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner. Your primary focus will be checking, verification, adjudication, collaborating with other members of the pharmacy staff, working with pharmacy software as needed and completing other technical tasks. You will also support the supervision of Pharmacy Assistants and help manage workflow. You will leverage your passion for patient care to produce prescriptions, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. As an estimate, the RPhT may check up to 150 rx/day.

Qualifications
  • RPhT license is required (BC)
  • Strong written verbal and computer skills are required
  • Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
  • Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must
  • Able to work 8-hour day shifts between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm with varying shift start times
